MVP showcase camps are held across the US and conducted by former pro scouts and players. Players go through a tryout-evaluation similar to a Major League tryout. Your evaluation is based upon the five tools of baseball in your primary position. Players may try out for a secondary position.
Tryout-evaluations for position players include:
Running speed (timed 60-yd dash)
Arm strength (radar gun velocity)
Hitting mechanics
Hitting for power
Defensive skills
Catching skills (when applicable)

A parent is required to register the player and sign the participation agreement and release form. It is also an opportunity to learn more about MVP programs that can benefit the player.
A complimentary college seminar provides parents with insights into what college coaches are looking for in a player today and what it takes for a player to compete at the college baseball level. MVP has helped place many players in some of the most prestigious colleges and universities throughout the country, with some receiving substantial scholarships.

Online College Identification Service
Jump-start your own college search with MATCHFIT, our new online college identification service offered for MVP baseball players. Confidentially enter personal biographical data including your GPA, class rank, and standardized test scores, along with information specific to the type of college or university you would like to attend. Your information is matched against our extensive database to identify college programs which match your selection criteria.
You may select any college or university and print or download that program's specific information. This includes both a general academic profile, and a detailed athletic profile with information such as the coach's name, mailing address, office phone number, fax number, e-mail addresses, and web address. You will have access to this service for thirty days from the tryout date which is a $100.00 value.
Following the showcase camp, parents must call the MVP office for an in-depth discussion of their player’s skills, past experience and baseball goals. At that time, parents are informed if the player has qualified for a nationally-ranked MVP team to compete in the country’s topcollegeexposureshowcase tournaments, such as:
